A plugin for MS Office to create searches among scanned images.

Text Searchable Tiffs is a great office tool to add as a plugin to MS Office XP or MS Office 2003 because, strange as it sounds, it allows the user to search for words within scanned images.

All the scanned images in an MS Office document have associated data, so it can be easily located. Once the image is located, thanks to Text Searchable Tiffs, the user can use it to find other similar images to it in other Microsoft applications, or go directly to the page of the document containing that word.

For Text Searchable Tiffs to locate these images they must have been previously created by MS Office Document Imaging and scanned through an OCR program such as Nuance.
